DMV CEO Social
Hosted in Vienna Wednesday, September 27, 2023 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. EDT
Event Overview
What does a drummer, two 18th-century barns, and District-Maryland-Virginia area CEO Vistage members have in common? They will all be coming together September 27 for the first-ever DMV CEO Social, hosted at The Barns at Wolf Trap in Virginia.
This special event will be open to the first 150 members to register and features rock n’ roll thought-leader, Sandy Gennaro, networking and kicking it up with your greater Vistage community.
The Barns is made up of two adjacent historic 18th-century refurbished barns. The barns were relocated from upstate New York and rebuilt in 1981 using an 18th-century “block and tackle” method of construction with gin poles, ropes, and manpower. Both barns are made of hand-hewn beams and posts, and the exterior walls have been reversed to show more than 200 years of patina.
The German barn, built around 1780, features a large “swing beam,” which reflects the original function: supporting the hayloft above, while below, enabling a team of horses to be turned around into their stalls without obstruction. Today, this design makes for a perfect theater.
The Scottish barn, built around 1791 is the ideal setting as a gathering spot for networking.

My ½ century of navigating the murky, shark-infested waters of the music business has cultivated in me a keen sense of business AND people management, the highlights of which are divulged during my presentation intertwined with video and live drumming. I illustrate how corporate leadership correlates with being a drummer in a band. My audience is involved and participates in my presentation, much like a workforce should be with their leadership/organization. At the core of the principles represented by the acronym B.E.A.T.S.
