About the presenters
Ross Hartmann is an expert at integrating the latest AI technology in businesses as well as navigating the rapidly-evolving tech industry. He’s worked with businesses from $2m to $500m to design and implement an AI roadmap and strategy. He has been a tech lead and developer in the AI industry for over 10 years. He has a background as both a Technology Director at an AI company and also a coach at Dale Carnegie of Orange County. Having received the Highest Award for Achievement, Effective Communication & Human Relations/Skills for Success from Dale Carnegie, he is honored to bring his passion and expertise in AI to Vistage members.
As co-chair of the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Group and a partner in its Intellectual Property Group, Amy B. Goldsmith ensures that her clients meet and comply with all requirements set forth under global and local privacy and data security laws, including the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, New York’s Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act (SHIELD Act), and California’s Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Amy designs commercially responsive privacy policies, terms of use, end-user licenses, and software-as-a-service agreements, and counsels clients on privacy and cybersecurity issues, including prevention and breaches. Within the IP sphere, Amy guides clients through the legal aspects inherent in building immediately recognizable brands, developing desirable products and services, and devising strategic IP plans to mitigate risk. With respect to IP risk management, Amy advises clients on U.S. and non-U.S. trademark due diligence, patent go-to-market strategy, and copyright compliance.
David Karandish is the Founder & CEO of Capacity — an enterprise SaaS company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Capacity is an AI-powered support automation platform that connects your entire tech stack to answer questions, automate repetitive support tasks, and build solutions to any business challenge. Prior to starting Capacity, David was the CEO of Answers Corp. He and his business partner, Chris Sims, started the parent company of Answers in 2006 and sold it to a private equity firm in 2014 for $960 million. David sits on the boards of Create a Loop (a computer science education non-profit tackling the digital divide by teaching kids to code) and Prepare.ai (a non-profit providing educational resources and strategic guidance about Artificial Intelligence to individuals, communities, and companies). David was also an early investor and board member at Nerdy (NYSE: NRDY), an on-demand, real-time learning platform in the ed tech space. David lives in St. Louis with his wife, Erin, and four kids. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing ukulele.
